Hello.
It wasn't easy making this decision to move.
But I did.
Goodbye then. Thank you for walking me through these past two years.

The Blueberry Nights
today was spent meeting the propective tutee's dad, and meeting up with michelle.
we watched the The Blueberry Nights, which turned out to be quite boring. But it was what i would call, an abstract and artistic show. The sounds, images and words are very artfully arranged. But the plot leaves very much more to be desired.
sat at starbucks for ages having some deep heart-to-heart talk. haha. okay, some news were shocking. i feel like i've been thrown a whole new perspective of what's to come in the next few years.
apart from that, i shan't update too much since this blog will turn old in a while's time. cherish the last moments while you can.
and thank you michelle for the 3 pairs of earrings, two shirts and skirt ((: you'll get a big treat on my payday. Haha!

oh joy!
There's a first time for everything.
Apart from that, the day was spent having a good pariss buffet lunch. (haha phoebe, jealous?), shopping for 5 tops and 2 skirts in half-and-hour, and going to meet the council people in the evening.
Headed to maxwell for dinner with celine jafnie charleen, followed by drinks at CLINIC at Clarke Quay. Truth-or-truth session where we spilled our guts out to each other ((:
Faizal and tiff joined us as well, and the just-booked-out faizal regaled us with NS stories! Haha, then came the cam-whoring (with char's camera) and finally, supper at BK with cel jaf and fai.

in the rain
today turned out to be one of the wettest days of my life.
no, not wettest in the wow-i'm-fantasizing-of-getting-on-with-edison-chen sense, but you know. Literally. Drenched. Wet.
I cycled along east coast in the rain today. the wind was strong, and the rain was pelting against my face in such a way that i had to squint and cycle. there was no mud guard, so the puddles of water landed on my back. but somehow, it was oddly exhilarating.
and i'm really competitive to annoying strangers. hah.
eat dust, my dear boy. eat dust.

i took what i would like to think of as "artistic" shots.
( pretty artistic shots)

Hello!
Hanern just sent the orientation schedule and it looks like mondays off is a great blessing! I GET TO CRASH THE WALK-IN. Hahaha. Am excited. And interested to see how cheers with the word "laszlo" turns out.
And of course, looking forward mass dance! (omg my ipod played carwash/upsidedown/summernights consecutively just now, its amazingwhwhw)
Han ern commented: "The juniors will be wondering why this CatHighBoy (he's impersonating Cat High!) and TKgirl knows all the old dances!"
HAH. We were too enthu about entering nj, we went to learn past years dances ;)
Other news:
1) I hit 30 before lunch today!
2) Bryan says my blog gives the impression that i have a boyfriend!
3) Listening to 16-year-old "love" life story is interesting!
4) I'm off the next four days. Ask me out! And anyone wanna go NYE countdown?

babble
i hit 70 at 12noon today.
that was after plenty of passive smoking (everyone else was in a rush to somewhere), as well as getting hit on by several 23-year-old plus bankers/financial analysts.
Gah.
nevertheless;
i was all smiles when i hit 70 ((:
oh. i was asked to do 30 more tomorrow.
wish me luck.
Warwick Law School (finally!) airmail-ed me.
It's tempting. Haha.
But so's UCL Econs.
Ho.
(okay, let's think about this after results. after all...... oh nevermind.)
Thank you Bryan for being my model today! HEH.
I'm sorry for the silent fits of laughter i executed behind the photographer.
((((:
Don't you think my posts are oddly disconnected and incoherent when i'm tired after work? How embarassing. I really need a new blog.
I need a quote as well.
Where are you?
Goodnight.

the very unchristmassy christmas
i woke up moody sleepy and groggy this morning. thanks to celine's double whammy of messages asking me to go to town.
i went down to get breakfast for the cousin and got caught in this huge mega thunderstorm. In fact, it was so huge, if you squint your eyes really really small, it can even pass off as a snow storm.
looks like we've gotten ourselves an (almost) white christmas after all.
well, it certainly did make me less sleepy, less groggy, but still as moody as ever.
i'm sorry i missed the tai-tai club outing. interestingly, just the other day, i decided to scare my mum by announcing that my ambition in life is to become a tai-tai.
she was horrified. Ha ha ha. but she needn't be because the idea horrifies me as well.
hmm, i'm still moody.
nevertheless;
thank you for the call from faraway-land. although, it backfired. HAHA. Its the thought that counts ;)
and thank you celine for the Christmas card in the mail ((:
so this was Christmas.
Somehow, i feel that the prelude gearing up for Christmas feels way more Christmassy then this.

Hello Christmas
Christmas eve did not turn out the way it was supposed to be.
For one, the original plan was to stick to last year's tradition of going around town with the seniors and cousin, eating walking spraying arcade-ing and drinking coffee.
But the seniors pang-sehed. (singlish word. i'm recieving a lot of bad influence recently)
So the difficult task of planning where to bring my cousin (i couldn't bear to disappoint him and say eve plans are cancelled) came to me, and solely to me.
There was the suggestion that i still brought him to town of course, and do the same eating walking spraying arcade-ing and drinking coffee.
But the idea got shot down into the drain when i suddenly recalled the lecher-like characters we met at 2plus am at Orchard after we left the seniors last year. -cringes-
And then, there was the idea of simply bringing him to a movie. But again, i was reminded of two years back, when i brought my cousin to a movie, a guy came to extort money from me. And I (stupidly or wisely, you decide) gave it to him.
But despite the two examples showing me in a very weakling-damsel-in-distress-i-cant-survive-on-my-own light, i must hasten to assure you that I AM NOT AT ALL LIKE THAT. Normally. After all, this is coming from the girl who fought a 12-year-old karate-learning boy in the playground when she was a mere 8 years old remember?
Besides, i have another reason for rejecting the latter idea. My cousin pees approximately 4 times in a movie. AND i have to accompany him to the toilet. WHICH puts me in the most tetchy sort of moods ever. So nah uh, bad bad idea.
In the end, we parkway-ed, steamboated, went arcade-ing, borders, drank bubble tea and went for an ICE-SKATING COUNTDOWN THINGY HAHAHA.
I attempted to give him the Whitest Christmas possible in Sunny Singapore.
After he fell down while ice-skating, he decided he needed longer pants to wear. In an attempt to hurry get changed and back into the rink, he took out his aeroplane pajama bottom (it was the only long pants he had) and started pulling his pants down at the brink of the rink and attempting to WEAR THE AEROPLANE PAJAMA BOTTOM THERE AND THEN WITHOUT TAKING OFF HIS SKATES OR CARING HE WAS UNDRESSING IN PUBLIC.
And finally, funny thing number three has to do with me.
But despite all the laughter, funny things, and people I was surrounded with, Christmas had a tinge of poignant sadness today.

I attempted to give him the Whitest Christmas possible in Sunny Singapore.
Three very funny things happened in the course of the night.
Funny thing number one revolved around the cousin. More specifically, when the cousin stepped into a puddle of mud, and felt too icky to wear his shoe until he found a place to wash it.
(so he wrapped his feet up in a hankerchief and attempted to walk like that)

(he walked. and walked..)

(he walked. and walked..)
(then he decided he looked too stupid with a shoe on one feet and sock on another, so he wore socks on BOTH feet)

(finally, he got his shoes clean. whee)
HAHAHA. You should have seen me. I laughed and laughed and laughed non-stop. For about 20 minutes. All I did was hur-hur-hur *gasps for air* hur-hur-hur *giggles* hur-hur-hur *stops walking clutches stomach and squats down to laugh* hur-hur-hur *tears run down cheeks*
Its a case of YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE.
hur-hur-hur
Funny thing number two had to do with the cousin again.
After he fell down while ice-skating, he decided he needed longer pants to wear. In an attempt to hurry get changed and back into the rink, he took out his aeroplane pajama bottom (it was the only long pants he had) and started pulling his pants down at the brink of the rink and attempting to WEAR THE AEROPLANE PAJAMA BOTTOM THERE AND THEN WITHOUT TAKING OFF HIS SKATES OR CARING HE WAS UNDRESSING IN PUBLIC.
hur-hur-hur
Again, you just had to be there. I convulsed into laughter again at his adamant refusal to not listen to my advice (who wears aeroplane pjs in public oh my god) and (okay if you must go change in the toilet or else shame shame la!)
No pictures for this, cos i did not feel at all inclined to shoot an 8-year-old strip tease. Luckily, he finally saw sense and did not wear the pj bottoms. phew.
And finally, funny thing number three has to do with me.
Well, I would never have thought that the first time I finally deign to give my phone number to a random guy who asks, it will be to an 11-year-old.
hur-hur-hur.
An 11-year-old played iceball fights with me. An 11-year-old stuffed ice down my back. An 11-year-old asked me for my number so suddenly that i gave it unthinkingly. An 11-year-old immediately sms-ed me 5 times in 15 minutes (despite me only replying the first one)
I wonder if the 11-year-old knows I'm an 18-year-old.
hur-hur-hur
But despite all the laughter, funny things, and people I was surrounded with, Christmas had a tinge of poignant sadness today.
Something feels missing. I wonder what/why/how come.
Dear Santa, all is want for Christmas is... to be happy. Simple enough, ain't it?
But of course, I wouldnt mind a nice box of chocolates. Or a nice new laptop. Or books to read. Or new clothes (which will magically appear in my wardrobe you understand, cos i hate the hustle of shopping). Or psp games (because i still have none)
Or let's not get too materialistic here, 6 As on my A'level cert, a scholarship and studying in UK would do very nicely too.
hur-hur-hur.
Its 3.44am. No wonder I'm starting to sound incoherent.
goodnight world, so i can wake up early tomorrow to hear Italian gossip ;)
hohoho.

Once upon a time;
I am seriously thinking of starting a new blog.
Maybe one to usher in the year 2008. After all, a lot has changed. I feel like I'm entering a completely different phase in life.
Reading The Sunday Times was great fun today. Because I kept staring at the bylines and going: "ohhh, i know who that is!". Typical teenagers get star-struck; yours truly gets journalist-struck. The singlish word alamak has never seemed so apt.
Finally, the day was spent with theBOY trawling through town (yes again. Singapore has way too limited chill-out places). We subway-ed, went to Borders, Toys'r'us, Secret Recipe and soft-toy shopping.
